On a happier note, I think I might finally be busting through my writer's block. I have a whole four paragraphs of the next BB chapter down and have even found the will to start streamlining the next IMR chapter. It's not /great/ writing and it's going slowly, but after like a month and a half of nothing, I'll take what I can get.
Have been incredibly anti-social lately (partly as a side-effect of frustration with writing block woes) and apologize. Am thinking about uploading some more original fic here as well as fictionpress.com. (Am also apparently incapable of writing more than sentence fragments.) Any thoughts?
Ho shit, I found my password again! Can't promise I'll be all that active, but I will make an effort to keep on top of these things better, I swear. Too many accounts....
Seems like tooting my own horn, but okay, here we go:

Summary: Riku can't even pretend.
For SKF, because she's great fun to talk to and because the way she writes Riku owns my soul. I did so many things with this I swore I'd never do, first and foremost implied one-sided RikuSora. But if SKF can step outside of her comfort zone and write me a truly beautiful fic with my favorite pairing, I can try and do the same with one of hers. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

Still exploring Matthias and Da'an's backstory. None of this is necessarily concrete - I'm playing fast and loose with the timeline here, methinks - but it's all in the service of characterization. Or something. The actual story, should I ever develop the characters and world enough to start it, actually takes place quite a few years after these little snippits. That's my excuse, anyway, and I'm sticking to it.

2) What is it that got you into Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts fandom?
My own money - had to buy my own PS2 and games before things like bills reared their ugly heads. I'm a relative n00b in terms of Final Fantasy - I've only played from FFX and on, but FFX definitely got me hooked. While I loved the first Kingdom Hearts game, the thing that got me writing and trying to figure out the characters was the plight of the Nobodies in KH2 (and CoM, though I've never had a chance to play it). You know, just that slight little obsession of mine....
3) Jokes about eating them aside, how do you feel about children?
I actually like children - when they're not acting like complete brats and being defended by parents who'd rather be their child's friend than authority figure.
4) Ninjas or Pirates?
I have to choose? Isn't there some law against cruel and unusual punishment? If the pirates we happen to be discussing include Johnny Depp, then I'm afraid I must bid a tearful farewell to the ninjas.
5) What kind of books do you read?
Everything. Literally. I will try any book you shove into my hands. I won't always finish it or like it, but I'll give it a go. I read across the genres in manga (though my consumption has been brought to almost a stand-still by this pesky thing called budgeting). Authors I generally come back to include Dean Koontz and Stephen King (though I tend to prefer his newer works to the older stuff), and I generally read horror, suspense, historical fiction (Takashi Matsuoka has a brilliant trilogy on the clash of cultures when Japan opened itself to the world in 1861), young adult (Tales of the Otori is another excellent trilogy) - pretty much anything but 'chick lit' or romance novels.
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will post the answers to the questions (and the questions themselves) on your blog or journal.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. And thus the endless cycle of the meme goes on and on and on and on.
